I'm designing my on bobbin. I haven't drawn the plans yet, but have them in my head. (probably won't even bother drawing them). I really hate the store bought ones. When I'm done the part that holds the spool will fit into the palm of my hand and will be made out of a wood like Walnut or Mahogany, or some other dark hardwood. It'll be similar to the old bobbins for spinning wheels, like we see in antique shops. Tall task, but I'm a woodworker and I think I can get it done. When finished, which will be long after Sow Bug, I'll let all know and can send a pic of it off list to those who want to see it.
