Dear VFBeadheads - One of the things I like best about tying is that you can build flies that are better made than the run-of-the-mill commercial flies. It's great when a fly hangs together for several dozen fish.
There are various useful techniques for improving sturdiness, including tying near the breaking point, trapping tails with over-under thread wraps, strategic dabs of glue on solid hair, whip finishing from back to front, and so on. What's your approach? Some people say that counter-wrapping a rib doesn't help at all. Are they wrong? Are they an evil force from beyond? Maybe you have some tricks you would like to share. Or... tell us more about NASCAR athletes if you must. :-) Mark ===== Mark Klemick ! GoFishGo ! [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
