Hello again, I'm curious about something I've seen and heard of, yet never used (and where you may purchase such a thing):
"Canada goose wing quill fiber". (per Fly Tyer magazine) Where can I get it, what is it from (can i make it easily from the feathers dropped in a local park), and is it used for anything other than wrapping dry bodies? I've used (to little avail, mind you) stripped hackle stems for smaller (size 20 or so) lights' bodies, but I'm thinking of this quill fiber for around 10 to 14's.
