I'm pretty sure the wingers are hen necks.  The winger patches tend to be a
little smaller.  I use the Whiting hen necks also.  I just look for ones
that have a lot of the smaller feathers.   I'm not sure if Whiting is going
to carry "wingers" or not.   I haven't actually seen them packaged that way
yet.
Good question for Byard since Don O is off to California now.  I know John
Snively (Whiting Variant Rep) wasn't sure if he was going to get anymore in
at the last show either.

I'm not sure what you mean by "winger".  Is it a product you heard
about?  I use hen neck hackle for patterns that call for traditional
wings.
