DonO, Wingers don't work for the fly I'm tying in the swap but I sure would like to try em' out since I've heard so much about them. Maybe I'll tie a double batch...

Dr. Tom gave Cheryl the royal rooster tour and she loved it. Got to pick out some awesome hackles and feathers, especially a SCB that is to die for and 5 Gold grade Cock D' Leon saddles- also to die for- the best of the batch all. For the vfb 'Pluckers' I got: 5 cream-dun Winger capes 7 med gray Winger capes 8 untrimmed white-laced-black Winger capes (have shoulder feathers still attached) 2 untrimmed above dyed brown Winger capes 4 untrimmed natural black Winger capes. These are 26 real good Winger capes, like I'd pick out for myself and like the 1st batch I sent out. Since these are capes, we need a way to divvy them up fairly to the pluckers of the last swap, and to have some available to other vfb'ers to try out. All dry fly tiers should at least try these out. I'm seeing these on a lot of patterns recently by the other show tiers. Any ideas on how to go about this, since they are necks, not saddles? Can someone explain to me about winger for dry flies. Are they saddle hackle that you should be able to buy from any fly shop? Or are they something unique that a person runs across once in a while.
