Hi Mike,
I've had good results with Gudebrod 6/0 and 8/0, and with Benecchi 8/0 
(I believe it's 8/0, the spools have a red color code). In a while I'll 
try Uni Nylon, and will let you know the results if you like.

UNI thread is not the most suitable of thread for the purpose. Not a 
'flat' thread.
