Pete was looking for a slower action rod. My second graphite rod ever was a Sage LL 6wt. Loved it. Very smooth, forgiving stroke, more like the classic rods. Rod technology has changed a lot over the years, but the LL remains one of the best things Sage has ever produced.

I did not see what your original question was but if you are considering a
Sage LL for trout, my 3wt is my favorite rod. I have other fine rods but
when I can fish the LL, I choose it everytime.

Wes- THANKS! I've been looking at Sage rods, especially the LL, and was
trying to see the general consensus out there (I've heard St Croix are
decent for the flex, and don't break as much as other brands). Regardless,
thanks for the suggestions!
