I once got poison ivy juice in a cut on my knee.  My doctor gave me steroids to treat 
it with no ill side effects.  They are not the same type steroids that athletes use.  
I wonder if having the poinson ivy alone will postpone your surgery?  Dont want that 
stuff getting internal.
