John,

Congrats on the new baby girl!  Hopefully everything will go well in the ICU, and you can have her home in a few days.  Just think, in 18 years she'll be getting ready to head off to college...  My daughter is graduating from high school this year, and heading off to the university this fall...  Sure gonna be quiet around the house.  Now, I might actually have to listen to my wife...  <VBG>  Hope Momma is doing well, and that is one quick delivery!

As some of you know my wife and I were expecting our second child due may 10th.  Well, little Alyssa Kendall Ridderbos decided to show up 3 and a half weeks early.

I got home from work at 3:30am and my wife was up, uncomfortable as some times happens when your this far along, so she made a bath up.  To make a long story short we left for the hospital at 6 am.  Arrived at the hospital at 6:30, she delivered at 6:37.  Yep that's right 7 whole minutes!

Alyssa is technically a preemie, had she wait 4 more days she would have been full term.  As it were, she is currently in the neonatal intensive care unit, due to some low blood sugar levels.  She should recover soon and we will have her home.

Just wanted to share my great news with everyone,

John Ridderbos
