Congrats again, John.

When you get the chance let us know how much Alyssa weighed and her length. I'm betting that she's a big girl. You know, the doc could have misfigured the due date too.  When my daughter Joanna was born I was on my way back to the office from a staff meeting and Jody had gone to the doc for a check-up.  Joanna wasn't due for another week or two. Jody went into labor in the doc's office, which also happened to be in the hospital. She had the nurses call a good friend of mine, who happened to be a Mississippi State Trooper and he found me on the highway and brought me, with siren blaring, to the hospital. ( This was pre-cellphone times.)  As I walked into the small country hospital, the doc and nurse were wheeling Jody to the delivery room.  I grabbed Jody's hand and walked with them to the delivery room door, then went and sat down for what I thought would be a long, long wait!

Fifteen minutes later the doc came out and told me that I was the father of bouncing, eight pound 6 ounce baby girl.  Babies have a way of coming when they're ready, whether the mother and doc is or not.  The upshot of this one is that when our third, son Chris was getting near birth,  the doc told Jody, " You feel a pain, get here in a hurry".  We had five kids and the sum total of Jody's  "labor time" for all 5 was less than 8 hours.  My "salty" Dad  made the comment that, " Jody has babies like a hog spitting peach seeds."  Jody could have killed him. LOL

Have a Gread Day, and do hope and pray baby girl and Mom come home soon.

As some of you know my wife and I were expecting our second child due may 10th.  Well, little Alyssa Kendall Ridderbos decided to show up 3 and a half weeks early.
