Thanks, Steve. Looks like tomorrow, i get to reinstall the operating system...I never have to do that with my computers at work. Comes fromsharing the home computer with 3 other people (one of whom is really computer savvy, the two others are tyros...). My complaint with my Danvise was the same as yours, I felt there wasn't enough room behind the hook for the bass & saltwater flies i tie most often. I've been getting a lot of kidding from the fly fishing club members for sticking with my old Thompson A and various clones because they all know I've got a rotary vise. With this i might actually break 20 years of habits.

I just got mine yesterday. I like it. It's casted metal. Fits securely to the rotary mechanism and has two additional material securing wedges beneath the shank. Tied up some wet flies last night, rotary worked well.
