I have been following the comments, etc. regarding the RS2 fly pattern. One thing I
have wondered (perhaps i missed it) is lack of indication of the size of the natural,
and size of the hook. One of the pages recommends different thread sizes for hooks
larger or smaller than a # 14. This makes sense, but I was very interested to see
that this pattern would be tied in such a large size. I always that the RS2 was
definitely a "micro" pattern of size 18 or smaller......... any thoughts or
experience that would shed light on my ignorance?

I think the latest issue of Rod and Reel has A. K. Best tying

his quill bodied version of the RS2. Lots of photos.
