Hey, you all! I am back with serious happiness, as I was realizing how much I
missed you, even Jimmy....

I literally gave up about a year ago of ever being able to see a VFB post
again, after Verizon put up their spamblock. Well, its not just the spam
block, as I have turned that off, and now filter my own spam (20-50 per day).
And I still cannot get a post at my Verizon address.

About a week ago, I was querying some fly tying question and I got a hit off
the VFB web archive. One thing lead to another and I contacted Byard
directly, and in his tremendous nature, he set up a email account I could use
with VFB.

I am so relieved to hear your banter. No fly tying list on the web is better
than you guys. I started fly swaps on the www.washingtonflyfishing.com
forums, and they are now something I don't want to join in on. From the
quality of the fly tyers on this list to the quality of the banter around
here, I am very happy to be back.

I the last year, I have taken a classes on steelhead spey tying, another on
steelhead tying, and I have been getting heavily into building my own rods,
and thinking about going small time commercial with them.

Oh, and my wife and I have a little fly fisher on the way, due October 8.

One reason Paul caught more fish than anyone else was that he had his flies in
the water more than anyone else. "Brother," he would say, "there areno
flying fish in Montana. Out here, you can't catch fish with your flies in the
air."
