I did some fishing in the early hours on saturday and sunday while on
vacation in Boise on the Boise river with no luck. Makes sense, when you
ask the local shops about places to fish, no one mentions the river in town,
they talk about places about 2 hours away. Oh well, it's fun just being out
there. I just hope I catch a fish on the new 2-wt soon. It bumming me out.

I felt a bit lonely today.
I got up 4 am and loaded up my truck,
Slammed the door turned the ignition key and nothing,
Looked under the hood it was the battery cable end,
jumbled into the wife's Van
And run over to the auto parts store and back and fixed the truck.
Now I am on the way, when I get GVL it was so crowed I decided to drive
around to the Santa Anna River, when I got there
it looked like a Parking lot at a rock & role concert, NO PARKING.
Rats, all the Chunk & Winders were out in force.
Ahh! what the heck, found a spot, got my gear, rigged up,
Walked down to the stream and to my horror I find children swimming.
I know better than to go fishing on a week end, what was I thinking,
Already back home, Guess I'll tie some flies to
relax and keep from venting my frustration on my loved ones.
One last thing, when I fish I like to sneak up on a stream or river,
Sometimes crawling on my knees,
These guys were walking and running
up and down, kicking water at each outer.
I'm ticked because at the last club meeting,
I signed up to help do a clean up on that starch of river.
