I was once bait fishing for 'gills with a bobber and worms, and catching a lot, in a little creek near my house. I was sitting on the top of a pile of rocks. I was reeling in a good size fish, and suddenly, out of a hole in the pile came a cottonmouth, and struck the fish. I threw a handful of sand at him and he let go - turned and opened his oh-so white mouth and hissed at me, then went back in the hole.
A few minutes later, he was back out, and trying to scare me off. I sanded him again, and back he went. Next time I tapped him with my rod tip, and he went off into the grass. I decided that since I couldn't see him, discretion was the better course, and I left the spot to him. Never felt scared of him. He tried, but I courteously yielded to him. --- Steve, In Maryland ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC=lycos10
