Steve, it sounds like you're talking about being able
to see the hook eye streamside. If that is the case,
you can use threaders that the sewing store store
sells and put several small flies on a threader while
at home in good light and then it's a snap to put your
tippet through the threader and pull the fly off,
presto, it's on the tippet. C&F Design also makes
threaders that will hold a fair # of flies. Ant good
fly shop should have them. -Jeff
