Nick,

Many large shipping envelopes arre made of Tyvek,
which is spun-bonded polyethylene. the material has a
surface texture similar to that of paper, and with the
addition of a few additives, inks and markers can be
used on the surface. Inever even got to the post
office for mine, as i get enough materials sent to me
at my office in such envelopes that there are always
some old ones floating around. You can also buy packs
of this type of envelope at stationary/office stores.
