Deb, Flex-o makes way beter squids heads, and you're right- the legs are too
long for the mantle on that crease-fly squid.  Will get a lot of short
strikes with that fly.

I would re-do that crease fly as a top/bottom flat pattern with no crease or
a crease on each side and the seam on the middle bottom.  That would make it
plane better, rather than drop during a pause.  Squids move forwards and
backwards, and the flat surface would accomplish that.  The body could be
built up a little to give a roundish appearance, and the flat edges would
mimic the 'wings' of the squid well.  You could even trim the material to
put the wing-fins up front where they are on some squids, and sandwich in
some marabou feathers at the wings as you glue the top and bottom halfs
together to add some undulating movements.
