Sounds cool Joyce. Unfortunately, i doubt it would work with a furled leader. They have loops on both ends. Ever try one yet? If you do, you'll be converted instantly. At least for dry fly fishing. The turnover is just terrific. And you can use real long tippets with them. At least again as long as the leader. mark...........

I was taught this technique for a knotless leader by my mentor, an old time fisherman. He would take a needle with a pliers or Kelly clamp, hold it in the flame of a cigarette lighter and push it into the center of the fly line, thus melting a small hole. Then, carefully, he'd put a drop of super glue on the end of his leader, push it into the hole he'd just created with his hot needle, let it dry and it was done. I've used this for years and never had it come undone. Joyce
