OK.... Time for my speach,
I have sent flies to tyers all over the USA and Europe, and had returns from all swaps. I have swapped materials with many VFB members and had all materials due. I have shopped for various USA VFB list members over here in england and all the USA list members have paid every penny. I have only been ripped off once and that was by another Brit.
I have been ripped off by the post office several times, since my post to the US has a customs sticker identifying it as fishing tackle. In the last three years my losses include a rod, a reel, several sets of flies and a pair of whiting dryfly capes - {and i hope that bum gets moths}
Most of this list are "Real nice people and above reproach". I hold many as friends that i have never met and likely never will meet. As a friendly group of nice people we are open to abuse from outsiders, but i will continue to enter any swap that looks fun weather run by an old friend or the newest list member. I gain too much from the VFB to worry bout a dozen flies and $2 postage.
