They did it on a set in Nevada. Interesting thing, a friend of mine in high
school made an exact scale model of the lunar lander about 4' tall. He ran
into a sever problem that plagued him for months. The door on the lander was
2" to small for the astronaut with his pack on to get through, no mater how
he tried. Also, they did not find any native trout there, (fishing related
part).
