This has been Dave's fly of choice for several years. Unfortunately, as Dave poignantly explains, Tweeter is no longer with him.

I tie a nymph, the "Lucky Grouch Nymph" from the hair of two cats named, appropriately, "Lucky" (who looks almost exactly like Tweeter but is gray) and "Grouch", a scrawny calico with beautiful yellow belly fur. Grouch has also gone to kitty paradise, but was kind enough to leave me enough belly fur to tie these for probably the rest of my life.

Yes.  Cat fur works great.

Some dog furs work great in streamer patterns, too. (Golden Retriever......Irish Setter....and
other long-haired specimens).
