I always tell my University Of Phoenix student to check out AVG antivirus.. there's a version they have that works great, gets updates, and is 100% free! I've been using it for over 2 years now exclusively, and love it: http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php It's always good to check for Spam-Ware occasionally also.
