Another good (free) firewall is Outpost. Can be found at http://www.agnitum.com/download/outpost1.html
We have a nice mix of firewalls here at home. I use Outpost, she uses Zone Alarm... and both of us use the firewall that comes with the router. /Nick -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Frn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Fr Dave Campbell Skickat: den 22 juli 2004 00:47 Till: [EMAIL PROTECTED] mne: RE: [VFB] heads up Hi Steve... A good firewall is always good to have (Zone Alarm Pro)... I always tell my University Of Phoenix student to check out AVG antivirus.. there's a version they have that works great, gets updates, and is 100% free! I've been using it for over 2 years now exclusively, and love it: http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php It's always good to check for Spam-Ware occasionally also. I like using Ad-aware: http://www.lavasoft.de/ And if you want to check your firewall to make sure you're safe, go here: http://www.grc.com/default.htm and take the "ShieldsUp!" link about 3/4 down the page... -Dave On Wed, 21 Jul 2004 15:38:24 -0700, Steve wrote: > John wrote: Fortunately I keep my mcafee up to date and it has caught > both of them.
