Well with the rain and gloomy conditions my mind is wondering. We have a lot
of off color water around here, some call it "Thin Mud". Looking over my
materials this morning I discovered that one thing I do not have is any
material that is really "Bright". By that I mean it doesn't seam to catch
available light and sort of glow. Something like this would be great for
tying flies for our off color conditions. What I would like is something in
the pearl, chartreuse, pink, orange, green and maybe purple. The other thing
is where it would be used. One use would be for long fibers such as for
clousers and other minnow imitations, and then the other would be for
dubbing. Obviously 2 different types of materials. Would anyone have any
suggestions for such materials? The flies would be for bass, (white,
largemouth, small mouth), crappie, bluegill and walleye. I would just like
to find a material that could be seen even in dark off colored water.
Thanks in advance on suggestions and where I might find such materials.
