It's said "There's a purpose to everything"... and I believe it now. If I have had better self-confidence than I have, I might have tried to tie sizes way smaller than I normally do today... maybe even down to YOUR sizes. But because I know that there's no point trying, I simply haven't....... and that's why there were no flies smaller than #18 on the floor now.   I'm glad I'm still an insecure beginner, because I know all flies are boxed again.   (Also another saying could have been reality. "Curiousity killed the cat." Our cat eats insects... and Don have given me some really good imitations. You were close there Deb... I was actually on my way to doing that... getting back to tying. I didn't crawl out from under my coat though... but I WAS crawling around the kitchen floor. When I stepped into the kitchen I smacked down a tackle box laying just inside the door... packed with flies... and (of course) sloppy closed lid.
