Mike I just got time to pull up the map of New Zealand. I forgot Mt Cook is on the south island. We took a puddle jumper from Wellington to Christ Church. It was all beautiful water down there but I think the weather is a little colder on the South Island at that time of year. We were only there 1 1/2 weeks and it is very easy to hit both islands if you have the time. It's a small place. Deb
