Steve (and all), If someone on the list feels in need of a prayer, it shouldn't be wrong to send him one on the list. Can a single prayer sent inspire another lister to also send one... how can it then be prefered to be sent in the dark. After all, it will still be sent directly to the person in need and it's not meant to open a discussion. Neither does it change the topic... which would be SUPPORTING A FRIEND. When I was sloppy with chosing my language once, I opened a massive thread. One of the lines that was written to me was: "There are many Christian vfb'ers who love the Lord our God, and don't like it when others use his name in vain." I stand corrected today and I'm thinking twice before I'm typing. But in a case like this... showing someone that his shoulder can be leaned on. How can that be an offensive act... or an act in vain?
This is a group of friends... and making it obvious by actually showing this in words, can't be something one should be afraid of. I didn't set up the rules for the list and might not be as familiar with them as the rest of you. So if I'm wrong here, I would really much like to know. /Nick -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Frn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Fr Fly Fisherman Skickat: den 4 september 2004 04:52 Till: [EMAIL PROTECTED] mne: [VFB] Request Please forgive me if I acted childish, When I resigned, I surely should be able to take a ribbing, After all they beat Jesus to death. A few words should hurt me. I know the rules and from now on I will send any prayers directly to the person off list. I have fallen but I got up on my own. I am in a lot of swaps, and I need to keep my obligation to them. And if I am allowed join many more. Thanks to all Steve Clark Web Master Deep Creek Fly Fishers Club www.deepcreekflyfishers.org
