Jim, A rare serious reply from
me. I tried this on a stonefly nymph….works
really well. Snip 3-5 barbules off of a pheasant tail
and flexament them together (this doesn’t take
as long as it sounds). I do a whole
bunch of these at once so that I have a ready supply of legs. Use more barbules for thicker legs, etc. Tie the legs on as usual. Instead of knotting them, put a kink in by
holding a set of fine-tipped tweezers in a candle flame for about 5 seconds and
pinching the legs where you want the joint to be…give the leg a little “twist”
to augment the kink. Let me know how this works if you try it. Chris |
