My favorite knot isn't a knot but I love it because there is NO "hump" between the line and leader. Just get a needle and dig into the end of the line at least 1/4" until you can slip the butt end of the leader into the line. Take it out again, then put a little bit of super glue on the butt end of the leader and shove it in. If haven't lost a leader yet...

Which is the right knot who really knows?
Which do you use to put fly line to backing?

I heard that a nail knot is not good
for fish over 20 pounds.

What is the real story?
If you are tying fly line to backing or fly line to
leader.
