Listen, man, I'm a chemist by training and, somewhat, by profession. So I try to combine my knowledge of chemistry with the stuff that goes on in fly fishing and tying. I'm too far away from actual labs or production these days to actively try out stuff, but it is still 'satisfying' to demystify product blurb talk by getting right down to the actual chemistry and physics of materials...
