LOL... I'm glad it helped a little bit at least, Nick... I noticed that
when I was stationed in Europe, even though we all speak "English", word
terminology can mean something completely different, whether it be an
"American", a "Brit", "Norwegian", "Danish" or whoever... LOL ... I guess
that's why they say "English" is the hardest language to learn to speak...
Anyway, I'm glad it helped out, even a little bit... And thank you Henk,
for the corrections there, I needed that... (BG)... ;-)

Rodney...

Subject: [VFB] Booby report.....

ALL you "booby repliers"...

Thanx for many tips. And Rodney, don't worry if your tips help or not... a
tip too many is better than a tip too few. This is what's called
brain-storming. (And BTW, your tip WAS a very informative one... that I will
save.)

The outcome of today's (and my first) booby fishing was not much, fishwise.
The wind conditions looked good when I left, but obviously Mr.Wind hasn't
understand the sweetness with not working at weekends... it has just slept a
little longer than usual. Finally at the lake, he was working as hard (but
colder) as he was last weekend... so this time I cut it down to one dropper.
It didn't stop it from tangle up though. The four backup leaders I prepared
last night had all been used when I came home (and I have to make new ones
for tomorrow). After all the reading about boobies, it has seemed like they
have only pro's. But after a while of fishing I learned otherwise. When
casting, they work as propellers in the air. The line, which I untwined
TOTALLY last night when I greased it, is now looking like a corkscrew.
Another con I saw was that the tippet fell for the booby's beautiful eyes
and just couldn't keep from hugging them. Not a really serious backside, but
still really annoying trying to tie it up when it's cold.

And then, as the cream on the cold and windy cake, came the rain............
When the wind and the rain FINALLY calmed down, it took only 15 minutes
until it was pitch black and I could hardly see the buttons on my cellphone
when trying to call my girlfriend for pick-up.

Not my day today. But I'll try again tomorrow.
You all have a nice weekend!
/Nick
