Very cool Pete. Please tell me more about that #16 EGD-FW? I take it the FW stands for Fan Wing? Don't tell me the EGD stands for Eastern Green Drake? If you'd like to join us out on Long Island next Sun., your invited. You'll need a N.Y. license, and $40 for the day. Make sure to bring a lunch too. We meet at the hatchery parking lot for lunch at noon. Fishing is anytime after 8:00 a.m. until you can't see. This is the Connetquot River i'm refering to. Our (World Fly Fishing of Japan) annual club trip. I can invite anyone, my wife's the president, he he he he. An average day will "land" you 30/40 brookies, perhaps a half dozen bows or more, and a few browns. And this time of year the browns could be in excess of three feet long. Many are sea run. My largest so far is 26 inches. But they are in there well over three ft. long. My largest Brookie so far is 4 lbs. 7 oz. Had to be 20 inches. You have to see this place to believe it. It's REDICKALUS! Everyone should fish the Connetquot at least once in their lifetime. To live a lifetime and not do it, would be almost as bad as to live a lifetime and not go to the Village Vangaurd. Give me a call for directions, 607-498-9944. Or email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and i'll send them. mark.......

Hi all,
I'm back from an awesome fishing trip to the Lil Le Hi River (creek?) in Allentown, PA, USA. Quite a stream they have there, with a hatchery to spare. These fish are very very finnicky - they did the "sniff and swim" to me all day, until a 21 1/2" rainbow beauty (obviously a hatchery one, looking at the size and the fins) took a #16 EGD-FW. Several little BWO's coming off with even more of the same nymphs floating around. It wasn't a hatch in the glorious sense, but there were a few dozen that came off in the course of a few hours... The emerger naturals were being taken, but I was unfortunately unprepared for that bug - closest thing was a #22 adams, but the naturals were a much more olive-looking body. All in all a great trip! Besides the large rainbow, had two "long distance releases" of browns, both snapping the leader, on #18 PMD dries. I forget the name of the pattern, but they're mostly yellow... I'd write more, but I need to get out the door to visit the in-laws. Hope everyone is having a great weekend,
Tight wraps,
Pete
