I'll try to make this short and sweet...;^)
The VFB List is provided to you, for your pleasure, by the generous donations from supporting members and my alter ego...Line's End Inc. I've recently noticed an increasing occurrence of posts steering customers to retailers other than Line's End. While this certainly wouldn't be a concern if it weren't for the fact that Line's End can usually supply the same products at comparable costs. Irregardless of that it just irks me to think that some folks don't feel some sort of loyalty to those that bring them a service that they use so freely.
It just seems that lately whenever someone asks about a particular product someone else soon comes back with a link to the first source that they may have found on Google. Line's End was never a mention. Folks, Line's End can probably supply you with 75 to 80% of your fly tying supplies. If you don't see an item on the website all it takes is an email or phone call. I urge you to ask first, before going elsewhere. Let's try to remember that this list is provided by my checkbook...which is closely associated to that of Line's End.
I guess if you are offended by this blatant commercial than maybe you're on the wrong list. Those of you who truly know me will have no problem. It's all a matter of realizing where your bread is buttered.
As an exit, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each of you who supported the VFB through membership support or through Line's End purchases. Each of you makes a difference!
