But Dean…. Bozeman has SNOW and no
saltwater?? It would be beautiful. I don’t
think I’ve fully convinced my husband of the joys of running a fly
shop. Maybe when he’s closer to retirement it will look more
appealing.

There's a fly shop for sale in
Bozeman---Montana troutfitters. I personally think it would be tough to
make it pay.

Wow! My husband walked away from a district mgr job with a major retailer
at the beginning of the summer. We knew it would take 6 months to find
something else at his level. We're still looking for the right fit. It has
been a huge adjustment at home. I can see he is much happier in some
aspects but he's restless. We never thought for a minute that being
unemployed would work against you in trying to get interviews. Where is the
logic there? How was he supposed to job hunt with that kind of
responsibility? Blows your mind. He spent 20 years with the same company
and was ready for another challenge. He thought it honorable to leave his
position first and work full time on his job hunt. Since he has never had to
job hunt it's been an interesting learning experience.
I tried to talk him into a fly shop. I thought that would be a great thing
with his marketing skills and my "tying disorder" It didn't work.
:(
Maybe the location... Mexico was the wrong suggestion. I'll try again in a
few months.
Best of luck to both you and Murph on your searches.
