Don,
the split shank type hooks are Drapers, Partridge H3ST, flat-bodies nymph hooks.

Anyone know where to get those zonker hooks that had the belly-bend built in?

I'm also looking for those nymph hooks that had the body taper built in as a
split shank.

Did a Google search and so far turned up nada.

Well .... OK. It does address the name in the Fly Tyer article about Joe
Blados. She is referring to the "fold" in the foam as a "crease" Therefore
it is a crease fly. A very simple tie... all you do is put super glue on
the shank of the hook and crease the foam and squeeze. :)
I hope that cleared it up for you.

Well I guess that answers that? An name that no one really know's what it
means!!!
He would have named it more succiently, like Joe's mylar crease fly, or
something.

Keith
I'm not sure why that fly is labeled a crease fly. It isn't a crease fly it
is a sili skin bait fish. The fly labeled Joe Blado's crease fly in the
same pattern index is a crease fly.
I'm not positive but I think Byard does carry sili skin.

Just had a look on UFTRI at the instructional on there. Looks a good fly for

pike here in the UK as well as bass. Where can you get Sili Skin in the UK
anyone know?? I assume Byard can provide it ????????

I just got my new issue of Fly Tyer and found a step by step with pictures
for tying the Crease Fly!!!! The pictures are really nice. Now you guys
will have to have another crease fly swap. These are so much fun!
Enjoy,
Deb
