Your body???

As I work in a morgue lab, I can tell you now, no 'body' is worth a LAW vise...
;) mark'll have to find something else to sell. Trying to make it a clean pun
and instead go morbid - just my luck. ANYhow...

Just posing a general question for those in the know: How does one become a
professional tyer? Obviously, by selling one's flies, but what paths could you
recommend? All of the local shops (both of 'em) already have pro tyers for
them. Just curious, is all... Sold a dozen speys for 50 bucks, so I'm
thinking this is pretty cool.

Oh, and to keep with this thread, my next vise will be a dynaking, not sure
which, *OR* a Mongoose. I like the norvise bobbin, but I'm not too keen on the
continuous spin. Call me a control freak, but I like to do things slowly and
wiggle while I work, so the whole purpose of the spinning feature is lost on
me. Danvise is cool for the price, but for some unknown reason, I just am not
crazy about it. I currently use the cheapest true-rotary out there, the "eBay
special" for 20 bucks. Considering that I started 10 or 11 years ago with a
pair of dollar-store tweezers with "twist-tie" chicken wire to hold them shut
and attached to a wooden dowel with super-glue, this isn't too bad! The 'eBay
special' works well for 6/0's down to 22's, when I switch to my cam-style thing
that I got from a TU auction. Not sure the name or make, but I've been told
it's a Thompson. It's pretty good for small midges, but above an 8 nymph hook,
it won't hold or spread the jaws... all rusted and stuff. So that's what I use
and what is on the "dream list" for when I have spare change.
Tight wraps,
Pete
