We, too, had a few inches of snow..and loved it. You need a great beagle, as 
is my Josephine. They are such snoops that they dig, with their noses, the 
paths through the snow for the morning bladder relief. She has fine little 
snooping trails all around the back yard and as she is also "low to the 
ground" (translate, too fat) makes a cute rounded out dish type of path.
