You missed out winged wet flies, fished down stream and across. now out of 
fashion but still a great addition to any fly box.  Hendrickson, Mallard and 
Claret, Golden Olive, Alexandra, Peter Ross, Teal Blue and Silver, Laramie, 
Queen of the Waters, Proffessor, Yellow Sally and any of a hundred others.

I have been asked to create a starter flybox for an inspiring angler. My 
friends son wants to get started into Fly Fishing.   He just got a rod and 
reel setup and 2 fly boxes for Christmas and now needs some "go to" flies in 
the boxes.  Here is what I got for him a starter assortment:
Dries  >Nymphs  >Streamers  >Terestrials
