I have to agree there. I use wax on all my dubbings, more like a sense of security. I'm not tying for a business, so there's no rush involved. I take all the steps I need, in fact, most of the time when I'm tying it's more then just sitting at my desk "having" to tie something for someone. It's my hobby, my form of relaxation, a therapy if you want to put it that way. This way I can go out and enjoy my other hobby of fly fishing ,"whipping" the line back and forth and trying to see how many fish I can scare to the other side of the stream or lake, then go back to the campsite, kick back in the lounge chair with a nice glass of Merlot and tell my friends about how many trout I "released." Now how did I get from waxing to camping, must be cabin fever setting in again.
