hey everyone,
I'm back at a computer after moving everything to the new 'pad'. Great news is that, as we were moving, our neighbor 3 houses down was moving out, and getting rid of a roll-top computer desk that the gentleman used for fly-tying (I knew I'd like this place)! So I now have a free desk for tying - and some free patterns and materials as well! Even better, I now have a whole bedroom to my tying, in the new townhouse! Ok, so the rug is this sick color of fushia from the 70's, and the walls are a paler color of pink, but it's a room I can call my own. Besides, that what they have paint stores and rug suppliers for. The bad news is that I found out that the property goes back to all but 5 feet - the five feet that are the ledge over the Perkiomen Creek. SO! The creek is right there, but I'm not allowed to cut away land and create steps down to the creek from the 15-foot-up ledge. I can still get down and fish the creek, though, so it's still good! You just have to walk about a quarter of a mile to get to the access area, and back downstream if you want to fish right by the house... all in all, still not a bad deal! The five feet are owned by the housing association/ community propper, so I may bring it up as just a "hypothetical" question at the next monthly meeting. Never hurts to ask, right? They say it is for flood prevention, but if it's just steps... well, we'll see...
