Glad to hear that Jimi. Is one of the side effects from this oil that you keep wanting to bury your head in the sand or is that ostrich oil that makes you do that.LOL
Keep up the good work

Subject: [VFB] Great cure!!!

Evening folks,
Well, I had to pass on some info just in case others could use it. With
all the cold weather, emergency plumbing in freezing weather, gas and oil on
my hands from the engine swap and just plane tearing my hands up, I have had
a very difficult time trying to tie flies since the first of November. My
dry skin condition got so bad on my left hand I could not even hold a coffee
cup in it, let along tying materials. Crushing it during the engine swap
didn't help maters any.
A friend of mine at services could not help but notice it and ask about
it. After I explained that every winter my skin on my hand dries out so bad
he said he had a suggestion. They gave me some "Emu Oil" to rub into it.
They raise Emu's for meat and eggs, (I get feathers from them as well).
I was skeptical, but willing to try anything. Within 10 minutes of
rubbing it in, the skin looked pink and natural. Now after a week of doing
this, twice a day, I can close my hand to the point that I can almost make a
fist. The use of my index finger and thumb is such that I can finely hold
materials and manage tools again. This has worked where all other skin and
hand lotions have failed.
I hope to be back on my regular tying schedule here by the weekend,
(still have a few things I have to finish up around the house and shop).
Have lots of patterns to tie, some ideas to try and get my boxes filled so I
am ready to fish when I can.
Main thing I wanted to say is this, if anyone is having similar trouble
with skin conditions and would like to try some of this, drop me a note off
list and we can work out getting you some to try. It has been a miracle
worker for me and given me the ability to get back to doing what I love to
do.
Now I got to get back to finishing my list of needed flies to tie.
Jimi
