I am using my index or second finger as a gallows tool... this works really well once you get the hang of it.. I used floss silk as my loop material.
Havent really fished them much BUT they are a very popular fly for the evning rise for Dun Hatches... I tied a bown (rusty) Dun on my Trusty and rusty vice :-)

Hi VFB,
I managed to get a good buy on Ian Moutter's paraloop book, and will start to play when the book arrives.
Questions to the folks who have tied and fished paraloop flies:
1, How well have these flies fished for you compared to other flies?
2. Under what conditions are they most effective?
3. On tying: what are you using for a gallows tool? What would you recommend?
If you made it this far, try this link: http://www.bcadventure.com/adventure/angling/flies/index.phtml Fine stuff.
