There are a lot of these manuals out there.  Look in the front cover of the
manual about the 2nd page to see how many copy right dates are listed.  It
has probably been revised and reprinted a number of times.  If it hasn't and
it dates back to the early 40's you may have something there for the
collector.  I use mine for information, it has post its in it.   
Look on abe books to see if they have any listed and the prices.

My Dad just passed a book on to me titled "Professional Fly Tying,
Spinning and Tackle Making Manual and Manufacturer's Guide", by George
Leonard Herter, I think that he picked it up when he was living over in
England but that is all I know about it.  Is there anyone that is
familiar with it and can tell me what kind of treatment I should give
it?
