Gee, now you flatter me. I used to use the VMC, they seemed to be OK. Then the last ones I got would break in the vise or when I hooked a fish. I think I still have some in my junk stuff that I did not discard.
Since we had all that rain a month or so ago, they have running 8 units round the clock. Too much water for fly fishing. Last time I was able to wade fish was New Year's day
See you in a few weeks.

I quit using the VMC hooks over 10 years ago. Too brittle.

Dead right Don, the Tiemco 32 is the size of a Mustad 28. Now that i think of it, i may have some of those VMC hooks. If i can find them. Misa brought back some hooks from France after the chanpionships there, three years back. I remember they were barbless. Might be the same company.
I'll let you know if i find them. mark.....

VMC makes the smallest hooks I've ever been able to find, #34's. Smaller
bend than a Mustad #32, but a longer shank, like a streamer hook. Spade
eye, shaped and hardened violin or piano wire, barbless. Cool hook, tough
to tie on, too.
The Mustad is a forged hook, barbed, spade eye, and is much easier to tie
on.

BTW, the Tiemco #32 is not even in the same class- it's the size of Mustad
#28.
