I use 70% Ethyl Alcohol with 10% glycerol. For particularly brittle/ fragile
"bugs" I use 20% glycerol (sold in the drug store as glycerin, just ask the
pharmacist). Those bugs, for the record, include mayflies, moths, and
butterflies.
Hope that helps, and Tight Wraps,
Pete

Rob,

Go to your hardware store and get some ethyl alcohol. That'll do it
till you can get a good mixture. I think I've heard you can add
about 1% (or was it 5%?) glycerin to the alcohol and that will keep
the critters from getting so brittle.

Good luck,

Allan
