I use 70% Ethyl Alcohol with 10% glycerol. For particularly brittle/ fragile "bugs" I use 20% glycerol (sold in the drug store as glycerin, just ask the pharmacist). Those bugs, for the record, include mayflies, moths, and butterflies. Hope that helps, and Tight Wraps, Pete

I think I've heard you can add about 1% (or was it 5%?) glycerin to the alcohol and that will keep the critters from getting so brittle.
