the salmon and seatrout fly i mopst ofton use is the silver stoats tail.
I tie it as a single , a double, a treble, a tube and a waddington.
Single's and doubles get a pair of JC eyes as normal.
Trebles, tubes and waddingtons get three evenly spaced eyes so theat at least one is always visible to the fish.
I have caught more fish with JC than without. same fly, same size, same dressing except for the JC.
Printed plastic, or feathers with painted eyes have never made the slightest difference to the taking qualities of the flies.
