Hi Everybody, With all of the recent discussions around synthetic dusters as a material, as well as the article on them in Fly Tyer, I thought a swap might be in order. I thought we'd keep it pretty simple and give people ample time to experiment with them, especially if you haven't used it before. FYI - These are the synthetic/"all purpose"/static dusters you can find at Dollar Stores, discount stores, and the home sections of supermarkets and big chain stores. Here's an example of a pattern tied with it:
http://www.danica.com/flytier/wlutz/duster_minnow.htm Swap Guidelines (more details later): Due Date: May 7th, 2005 (Saturday). This should give people time to experiement and tie. Pattern: Anything you want as long as the primary material is duster fibers. You can do an all duster pattern as well. Other info: Full details will be sent out off list when the swap is full. OPTION: If there's interest we could do a "co-op" and include some material with each fly for others to try out. We can discuss this. # of tyers: 12 1 - Ken Staples 2 - Mark Delaney (please confirm) 3 - Larry Johnson (please confirm) 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 - Thanks! Ken
