Mark,
It's really up to you to express your tying artistry by what you feel like tying and the size. I feel like I'm trying to keep everyone happy and involved by making some adjustments. My idea is a group of nice flys reflecting the tyers, with the ability of putting them in a shadow box frame around the certificate. It will be a cool thing for anyone's tying or living room.
Hey! What do you think about a "one fly" project where each participant ties only one fly, sends it to a trusted volunteer and have a professional shadow box made up for Byard from all the VFBers to be used in shows? Yes, I would get a Kensington cable lock for it as we know how things walk, or it could be at the door, hung on a wall or easel where they take tickets, someplace safe.
There is usually a display of such by pro tyers at shows as you know and are probably in a few but this is to promote the idea of all levels of tying by VFBers and maybe get more novice tyers to take it up. The idea isn't firm and I'm looking for ideas but you get my drift.
Think it's a dumb idea? (All in favor of dumb send email off list)
