Hey Jimmy, how long does it take you to get to Oaklahoma? I'll be in Tahlaqua, (wherever the heck that is) the first week in May, for the Smallmouth Rondezvous and Fly Tying Extravaganza. Maybe we could do some Smallie fishin' together? The guy in charge of tyers there, Dick Griffin, tyed at the Sowbug......really nice guy. He's comming out to do the Clearwater Junction with us too. I'm gonna show him some honey holes round here. I plan on gettin' to town in Oak. a few days early, cause he says the guys from his club will take us fishin'. Sposed to be some speacial sub-species of Smallies only native to their waters there. Real good fighters they say. Lemme know ifin you can make it. I'm sure he'd be glad to have another tyer too. If you want, i can check on that? Lemm know quick, cause there were only 25 rooms left at the Motor Lodge as of Sat. morning. Ah.... make that 24, he he he. mark.....

Yep, Texas, but a few from Oklahoma, La and NM. A lot of warm water fishers and a few trout guys.

"With every trip I collect new mementos, though few are collected in scrapbooks. And all who fish for bass across the land collect them too. They are the images from first light to last and from first fish to last. And we'd share them in a minute. Some recall particular triumphs, often preserved in snapshots and clippings, while others we tend to hide, at least until the time we're ready to laugh about them. Daybreaks, canebrakes, heartbreaks, muggy nights, and foggy mornings. A hundred things that worked, and a thousand more that should have. That's bass fishing."
